Easy Healthy Eating

Healthy eating is that elusive goal that so many of us try to achieve. Instead of seeing it as a goal, I see it as a journey. In order to live in modern Western society, perfect health 100% of the time (i.e., ignoring the chocolate cake at your daughter's party) isn't always achievable. But 85-90% healthy eating is certainly an achievable goal.

Below are some of my favorite items for transitioning to a healthy lifestyle

This gluten-free flour is a great substitute for regular white flour and much healthier for you, too. You will need to pick up a cookbook dedicated to cooking with almond flour, and preferably focused on gluten-free cooking.

Raw Organic Probiotic ORMUS SuperGreens
I drink these powdered greens EVERY morning with 1/4 lemon squeezed into the water and greens mixture. It is a great way to wake up, cleanses your system, and provides heaps of gut-friendly flora. Why do we need probiotics? So our intestines function at an optimal level. The Standard American Diet is loaded with acid-forming dead foods that clog up our large and small intestines. Raw probiotics help to lessen their harmful effect.

Once you get started with these two items, healthy eating will become easier and easier. Your body will begin to crave healthier food that is closer to nature than a box of Froot-Loops!

I'll post more of my favorite back-to-health items in the coming days.

Introduction

Hi There, folks!

I am a freelance writer who specializes in everything domestic from relationships to most unbelievable chocolate chip cookies in the world! I'm also a big crafter (no scrapbooking, though). I love sewing, painting, and writing.

Despite my love of baking, I'm all about living a healthy and green lifestyle. I love my green smoothies and colorful salads and grass-fed beef. I'm also a big raw food advocate and strive to keep my diet anywhere from 60 - 80% raw, by caloric intake and volume.

I'd love to hear from you and your ideas on green and healthy living!
